Anthony Phillips

Biografia

Anthony Edwin "Ant" Phillips (Londres, 23 de dezembro de 1951) é um músico da Inglaterra conhecido por sua participação na banda Genesis.

Ele tocou guitarra e cantou como vocal de apoio até sua saída em 1970, seguido do lançamento do segundo álbum da banda, Trespass. Após aconselhamento médico, o músico deixou a banda por pânico de palco (apresentação em público).

Nursery Cryme, o primeiro álbum da banda após a saída de Phillips, contava com duas canções da época do músico na banda, "The Musical Box" e "The Fountain of Salmacis".

Em seguida, Phillips estudou música erudita e realizou gravações com Harry Williamson, Mike Rutherford e Phil Collins, entre outros. Seu primeiro álbum solo foi lançado em 1977, The Geese and the Ghost. Wise After the Event foi lançado no ano seguinte, seguido de Sides em 1979.
